Durango Druzy Agate

This is a new agate variety that has yet to really get a proper name, but it is from Durango, Mexico and has a lot of druzy zones so “Durango Druzy” has thus far been the best one I have seen. It was called “purple lace agate” at the place I bought it but that is even less specific so for now it is durango druzy. It is from the same general area of mexico as the famous Purple Passion and Royal Aztec purple agates, but this one tends to have a lot more druzy, a lot more gray matrix inclusions, and a lot more red banding in addition to the lavender. The gray is quite prevalent in this material, so I have tried to cut out the big areas of it and keep it to the edges of my cabs, but I think it provides a nice bit of contrast in the stones
